NIPPO LAKE HOSTS FIRST ANNUAL MEN’S TOUR OF CHAMPIONS

Golf Courses from as far away as Jefferson, NH competed in the first annual Men’s Tour of Champions at Nippo Lake Golf Club in Barrington on Wednesday, June 25th .  Course Club Champions and the runner-ups for the year 2007 were invited to participate in this event.  Winners of this best ball gross and net event were Granite Fields Golf Club in Kingston, Steve Rowell, Jr. and Joe Zipparo with a 64 and the net honors went to Waukewan Golf Club in Meredith, Vynnie Hale and Kyle Scamman with a 62.  Low round for the day was Steve Rowell, Jr. 3 under par 67.  Other prizes awarded were Closest to the Pin, Kyle Scamman, Longest Putt, Bob Sawyer of Nippo Lake and Longest  Drive, Buzzy Frances of Hidden Creek Country Club in Derry.  The 2009 event will be hosted at Granite Fields Golf Club in Kingston.
