NEWS RELEASE
ANDREW THERRIEN of Barrington wins 2011 Nippo Lake Junior Golf Membership
Andrew Therrien of Barrington was presented with a Certificate of Accomplishment for his essay about Respect and Self-Esteem at the 12th Annual Take a Child to the Course on Sunday, June 12th at Nippo Lake Golf Club. Andrew stated that “…respect starts with taking care of the golf course. Respect means to not talk when somebody is swinging, to be polite to other golfers, to not cheat, to encourage people that have a higher handicap that you, to have good sportsmanship and most importantly to have fun!” He went on to say “Self-esteem will also help you golf better. I think playing golf at Nippo, believing in myself, the sport and my golf course will build my self-esteem and will help me in the game of golf and life.” Honorable mention was awarded to Sam Langdon of Barrington. Sam was awarded credit towards his Junior Membership and a one hour playing lesson with PGA Professional Chris Mowers. Nippo Lake’s PGA Professional Chris Mowers determined the winner.
