Scrarecrow Contest Results
Nippo Lake Golf Club in Barrington held its 6th annual Scarecrow contest.
Participants assembled their works of art on September 15th through the
17th and the judging took place on Sunday, September 18th. The Most
Creative 1st place winners of $85.00 were Joe and Kathie Bystrek of
Barrington. Second place for Most Creative and $55.00 went to the
Barrington Elementary School 3rd Grade Classes. 1st Place for the Most
Traditional Scarecrow and $85.00 went to Livy & Sandy Lee of Strafford.
The Most Traditional 2nd place and $55.00 went to the Sam and Morgan
Koskela of Barrington. Three Honorable Mentions and $25.00 were given
to The Homemakers of Strafford County Day Out Program in Rochester,
Michelle Benger & Martha English of Strafford and Julie, Scott & Mariah
Feegel and Molly Balevre of Strafford. The scarecrows will be on display
for golfers at Nippo Lake Golf Club until November 1st. Judges for the
event were Jean Bullen, Administrative Assistant for the Barrington
Chamber of Commerce and Donna Sabin a member of the Nippo Lake Golf
Club Tournament Committee. Thanks to everyone who participated in the
contest. Your efforts in helping to enhance Nippo Lake Golf Club’s fall
views are greatly appreciated.
